Ether is normally used by dragons, he has no need for aura technically, as ether is like the power of origin/nature from which other energy type are derived. In Chinese cultivation story it’s the equivalent of chaos in a way. With the dragon relic it feels like he is going toward the draconic human trope so maybe there will be a dragonheart later and aura will become useless. Just a guess tho but I hope author doesn’t screw this up too 🤣
